Jim In Bold is a text that I've just recently rediscovered - hiding in the darkest depths of my computer, from where it had been saved years ago. In many ways, it's how I felt, and I feel the same way now; many contradictions in my head, one of which is the burning desire to do good things and to create, to add something back to the world, mixed with the desire to simply earn enough money to live a cool life. Another contradiction is having the will to do this, yet lacking the motivation as your surroundings drag you down. In the end, the young author of this text, Jim Wheeler, tragically took his own life as a direct result of homophobia. The writings he has left us are without a doubt his creation and his addition to the world. // Grum 30 Dec 2005.
