I'll dance to anything! Some bands that stand out to me are Freelance Whales, Grouplove, Fleet Foxes, Blind Pilot, Oberhofer, Yeasayer, the Limousines, Ben Howard, and the Naked and Famous.

I know a lot about movies and could talk about them for days! My favorite movements are New Queer Cinema, Italian Neorealism, and I like a few films from the French New Wave and also some from the silent-comedy era. Some films I like are Velvet Goldmine, Go Fish, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Vittorio De Sica's The Bicycle Thief, and Charlie Chaplin's City Lights.

I don't watch a lot of TV but I have enjoyed shows like Freaks and Geeks, the L Word, United States of Tara, and Weeds.

I like novels about dystopian societies or the end of the world, or ones that call into question things like existence, reality, or the validity of time and memory. I particularly liked The Giver, 1984, and Walden. I also like classic literature and some poetry (especially Walt Whitman). Queer literature is good too.
