you can pretty much do it with any digital camera; do you know how to delay the shutter?

I figured it has to be done by delaying the shutter. I think I'm going to have to borrow my friend's dSLR for this, my old point-and-shoot camera wouldn't let me change the shutter speed. Well I don't think it would...

yeah, you delay the shutter, have to be in a dark environment, and have a light source (e.g. flashlight).

lol, turns out I can slow the shutter speed, for a maximum of 4 seconds xD
Yeah I tried it but in the day and with my phone's ''flashlight'' thing which is very strong and not very fast to turn off/on (hold the space button Emoticon: Tongue :p). I'll try it at night, maybe with another falthlight, or I'll have to right in cursive .. (:

and then there's the mode where you can shutter it manually.

Ooh, awesome! I love light painting. So pretty. I like your second green love Emoticon: Smile :) Your first attempt at love in red looks kinda like a dinosaur. Rawr.

On holiday we had a campfire, got all artsy with the camera, and that's how we ended up with a picture of my little brother with a firey halo... We didn't delay the shutter, but we managed to move the fire-stick fast enough for it to work XD
