Hmm, from the sounds of it you're waiting. Waiting and thinking about your Mr.Right/Right Now. You really can't do that, it's only going to hold you back. You start overthinking things, getting impatient, and bitter, and jealous, and the next thing you know you're 50 something with a bad fake tan, too many cats, and a thing for chasing tricks young enough to be your sons.

You've gotta take some time and just chill. Do what you want to do, go out and have some fun take some time just doing you know...you aaaand trust me in time, in some strange (or possibly super normal) way, some guy will just come out of the blue when you aren't looking for him at all and your reaction will be something like "shit, wasn't planning on this today" which of course, is perfectly normal.

Don't worry, you'll be fine.

Thanks for that. I think I really do need to stop actively looking and just let it happen to me. But, my friends and their happiness with other people makes me barf. Spring is in the air and all of my friends are feeling it. Its like everyone is pairing up besides me and I am getting bitter. I just need to be happy being alone. And eventually I will make myself happy.

I felt exactly like you do a few months ago, but I finally realized that if you just stay true to who you are, and just do what you want, it'll all work out. Especially when you least expect it.
Keep your head up and just enjoy life.

Well wait, wait, wait. Lemme backtrack a bit. Don't, and I must stress this, DON'T be a recluse and cut yourself off. Be available, and have fun, and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. Just don't make it your #1 priority. Folks who're happy sitting at home by themselves...call me shallow, but that's just not healthy. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you've got to find a happy medium you know? Stayin home on a Friday by one's self isn't a bad thing so long as it doesn't become a habit. The same way that hoping for a boyfriend is hardly a bad thing (fantasizing is fun) so long as it doesn't become an obsession.
