So, I was just watching Shortbus again and I figured I'd make a thread about John Cameron Mitchell. Mitchell has done 2 films; Hedwig and the Angry Inch, a musical about a transgendered rock and roll musician trying to get big, and Shortbus, an ambitious movie that manages to use sex as a language and centers around a sex therapist trying to achieve her first orgasm, a gay couple trying to mature there relationship, a stalker, and a dominatrix.
Shortbus is my favorite movie of all time.
So yea XD

Now there's a genius if ever there was one. I'd put Hedwig & The Angry Inch as one of my all-time favourite films. And Shortbus is equally as unique.
Not many people know of either!

Personally, my favorite gay movie of all time is Boy Culture. Even that though wasn't the best movie I've ever seen. I think gay cinema has a long way to go.

And Shortbus isn't specifically gay, it's just sexual. The main character is actually a woman trying to achieve an orgasm.
P.S-I saw Boy Culture. It made me wanna be a prostitute XD

Ah I finally watched Hedwig for the first time last year at grum's - tres cool.

Wow, I really didn't like HATAI all that much =\ the pace of the movie was just a little too jumpy for my tastes.
Shortbus on the other hand, was pure brilliance.
