I guess I've always known, I just didn't know that there was a word for it until about the seventh grade...

Goodness what a question! I would say I have always known - in that I have always only ever been attracted to guys (rarely, I am pretty much exclusively gay !!) but for religious and familial reasons, I was in denial until I was about 16 I guess... it's much easier to be in denial I think! But it was all getting a bit strange, so I needed to come out a) to myself and b) to other people - thankfully it went ok, even if the rents weren't overly happy about it

I knew it when I was around 13 (there was a rather embarrassing quasi-sexual experience with the cousin at the age of 11), but I only accepted it at 18.
But you are, Blanche!

The pieces matched together slowly, at 12 I started liking guys a bit more than usual, at 13 I was in such confusion I became slightly depressed and left an all boys school to home education which I'm still in now and at the beginning of this year I had a long 4 hour chat with someone who had been through it and was bi and also in those few months began to get feelings for someone I had known since September last year, a bit of a distance but that's when I finally woke up out and a took a look in front of me what was happening, how I felt and what I feel and think I am!
Best Wishes,

I knew that i liked guys when i was about 12, but i also realized at that time that i liked girls too. because im attracted to both, i just denied part of myself, and embraced the "normal" part of me until i was 15. Now im 17, and still confused! Go figure. lol.

I never really did. It sorta just snuck up on me and I was like "... WTF?!".

i suppose i have always sort of known but it would have been about 14 when i started to question, i then went into denial about it and basically only accepted it at the end of last year.
we always end up hurting the ones we supposedly love the most.

Well when I hit puberty I knew I was meant to start fancying guys but I didn't, instead i fanied girls. But I did a great job of brushing it well under the carpet, invening a few crushes to keep myself and everyone around me in the dark. Then when I was about 15 I couldn't brush it under the carpet anymore and it all went a bit wrong.
I really got comfortable and relaxed with it all at college over the last few months, but my parents still don't know.

And we pushed, And they flew.

I was about 10 when I first started looking at girls, but it didn't mean anything to me really, I was always aware of Gay men but not Gay women really.
I was about 15 when it first occured to me I was Bi, even then, it still didn't ocur to me that people could LIVE going out with girls.
I met my first girlfriend when I was about 21, and the one problem I always had was I could never see living with a woman, shopping, socialising, being together etc, so that faded out until I was introduced to a gay scene and millions of gay people when I was 28, I had a girlfriend who I lived with for over a year, but best of all I discovered all this
Which is the reason I am here, so old and decrepid, here with you lot who realised when you were 11 and stuff

I'm only 17 and with all the people who have been joining recently I feel like I'm getting old already. I can only imagine how you feel, Lilac.

I love you
Not only for what you are
But for what I am
When I am with you

I've always known. I always thought there was something about girls that I was attracted too and I remember telling one of my friends (for the first time addmiting it.. even though I WAS slightly unsure..) that I "thought another girl was pretty" this was when I was in year 7 (aged 11) and it was spread around the school that I was a lesbian. So I never mentioned it again because I guess I was scared. I finally came out about it at the end of year 9 (aged 14) after talking so deeply to my mest friend about it, she was amazing with me. Pretty much everyone knows now =]

I knew when I was about 4 years old, or earlier. When I first met my friend Bryce, and seen his leather Jacket, I knew I was different than the other kids haha.
In kindergarten when everyone played boys chase girls, I always wanted the boys to chase me.. So I knew really early on.

I always showed signs of being gay as a child. However, I did not realize my sexual preferance until I was about 10-11 years old. I told one of my friends that I thought a certain actor was hot, and she told me she thought the same way about an actress, therefore we concluded that it was a phase of puberty. Now she's a lesbian and I'm gay.

I knew very early on. I was at least five when I realized I liked boys and didn't figure out that it was called being gay, until like 3rd Grade.
And looking back, I was a very (as my sister says: eccentric) boy. When I came out to her, she said, "Funny, I always said you were a boy version of me."
