You normally can't look at somebody and know they're gay. Some gay guys don't look or talk gay at all and with others, its completely obvious.
But even then, a guy can look gay but be straight.

If you put him under a blacklight, he'll glitter.
No, actually there's no way to tell if someone's gay or not. If he says he's straight, you should respect that even if you don't think he's telling the truth. There's also the slight chance he may be closeted, and it'd be really bad of you to force him out before he's ready.

You can know by looking at his hands. If his ring and pointer finger are about the same lenght then he's gay.
I'm not even kidding, studies have been conducted on that stuff.

No method is 100%. Even if the a same sex person is in bed with you it just be a straight guy experimenting...they do that. Plus, with all these metrosexuals walking about the typical gaydar is rendered usless. Also a guy could be bisexual which is not exactly gay.

There's no sure way to tell.... First maybe you look at what he talks about... Maybe figure out if he is gay-friendly... Then see who he hangs out with... Gay or straight sometimes it helps give you an idea... If you have mutual friends, maybe they can clue you in! Figuring out if they are or not is the hardest part! I wish you luck...

Personally I can just tell. Call it amazing Gaydar, but unfortunately I can never act on it. However the only surefire way to tell is to actually go up to someone and say: "are you gay?"
Though do make sure that you do it somewhere out of the way and not in front of lots of people. That can lead to some embarrassing situations for both parties involved.

well, davie wavie has a theory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVMCfIfakJQ
if you don't want to watch the video, if you look at someones eyes, and pay atention to where he looks, it may tell you if he's gay or straight

There is no way to tell for definite! HOWEVER, I believe it's all in the eyes. Watch when a hot guy walks past, or girl. Action and Reaction!
Interviewer: According to you, the girls run the world - but what do you think about the girls and the gays teaming up and running the world together?
Beyoncé: Well, that's what I meant when I said girls. (Laughs)

I can tell based on how someone looks at me . They look a certain way with their eyes and I just know.

I don't think there is a sure way of knowing unless that person tells you that they're gay themselves. Sure you can apply all the Cliche stereotypes but at the end of the day that's all they are, stereotypes. You could have a super fem guy who is straight or a Butch woman who is totally straight! So you never really know.
Okay so i'm just going to sit in my corner and be my own brand of awesome, feel free to join me ^^
