(hopefully the right category. I tried. my apologies to the mods. and apparently I only write topics in Starbucks.)

Okay, I need help.

So this weekend, I got my hair cut into a really short pixie, then tried to dye it auburn. well, my stylist cut it too short and uneven, then when I dyed it my hair came out bright red, since it was platinum before. well, I tried to fix the red and put brown on top, but it turned it so dark brown its almost black.

Now here I am, with an awkward haircut thats too dark for my skin color. and hats aren't allowed at school.

So, does anybody have tips and tricks to lighten hair color without dying it? and also, ways to speed up the growth?

much appreciated. xx

If you want to lighten it at this stage, there really isn't much you can do. Products like "Sun In," which lighten hair, only work on untreated hair. Maybe you could use a color stripper to get rid of some of the darker dye. Just make sure to use a nice one without bleach.

Hair growth. There really isn't much you can do other than eating well and making sure you're getting all the right vitamins and stuff. Getting excessive amounts won't help either since your system will just flush it out. I wouldn't put my hair in a ponytail much either since it really strains your hair. Mhh. That's all I have.

Yes. This belongs in Starbucks. It's a huge emergency.

For hair growth I recommend the vitamin Biotin which (if taken everyday) can help with hair growth Emoticon: Smile :).

As for lightening it idk... Maybe just wash it a lot with shampoo that's not made for colour-treated hair? Or use residue stripper shampoo which is really strong shit that smells bad but takes all the crap out of your hair. Idk if it will work to remove due but it's worth a shot and you can find it at Target/Walmart.

Removing too dark of color can be pretty cheap and easy.
Dish soap will strip all the color(and everything else) out, and more you use it. However you need a good conditioner after. Either a store bought one or some warmed olive oil. Mayo also works.

Clarifying shampoo will also strip everything out of your hair and it will actually smell just fine. But again you need to condition heavily after as this will also remove all the good oils from your hair.

Lastly you could bleach your hair. However this costs a ton more, is hard to do evenly if you don't know what your doing and, frankly, is best saved for last attempts.

As for growth, well biotin really is it. But the pills don't taste grand and while it will work it's not gonna give you a full head back in a month. On average your hair grows a half an inch a month. Biotin wont double that, but it might get you another 1/4inch.

I'm a hairdresser. I went to school for this. Its all solid advice, I promise.

You should use lime spray (it lightens ur hair color) but you should use bleach... it's the faster solution...

Lol that was a short answer :3
GAY MARRIAGE
or as I like to call it MARRIAGE
Cuz I ate lunch today, not GAY LUNCH
And I watched television, I didn't GAY WATCH IT.

So marriage? It's a human right, not an heterosexual priviledge.
