So summer is almost over, school unfortunately beginnings back a week on Thursday for most of us Scots :'( really is a moment that could make you cry.
I was wondering how many of you have enjoyed the holidays despite the flooding and terrible weather we have been having recently (I saw terrible because this British summer has been one of the wettest on record, and we've also had sevre drout in many places)
What about you lot in other countries? How has your summer been?
Who is looking forward to going back to school?

Extremely, extremely humid and hot.
Monsoon season was over a few weeks ago, so we don't have rain.
But the humidity makes the heat a hundred times more worse.
I usually go to the library where they blast air conditioning 24/7

I live in England and I still have just more than 3 weeks left :') I never knew Scotland went back to early! I was on holiday the first 2 weeks but it's been ok here since I got back I mean compared to what it was the week we both up for school (rain every single day in fact it chucked it down just as we were leaving school on the last day too)

For me extremely hot and humid, but been on a nice vacation to Pennsylvania, and soon going on one to Prince Edward Island, but personally I can't wait to get back to school, as I am going to a new high school this year and I actually have friends there

Here it's been very dry and hot (up to 106F/41C and next week it's supposed to get up to 114F/45.5C, which isn't unusual for summers here -__-), And I get to walk a mile to school in the heat :/ oh well, hopefully by the end of the school year I'll be driving.
I go back to school on Aug 20. Not exactly looking FORWARD to going back, but I'm not extremely disappointed or anything either. The only part of going back that's actually GOOD though is seeing your friends.
Me on the 1st day: "YAYYY! I get to see my friends again!"
Me on the 2nd day: "Screw my friends! WHEN WILL THIS BE OVER???"

Hot, with no rain. And hot. And boring... And did I mention how hot it's been? -_- It's been too hot to go outside to do anything... I, personally, will be glad when school starts. (It's on the 15th for me.)

Its the 16th that the majority of Scotland goes back, this is because we started a week earlier than the English.
I bet you though that when we go back to school the weather will become amazing, lickity-split :/

I hate Summer and I just want it to be over. >.<
I hate the heat and I hate the sunshine. I just want to go back to college and breathe in the cold morning air! Summer is the bane of my existence.

Aagh. I'm conflicted.
School means club activities, and hanging out with friends that I don't get to see in the summer, and art class, and no more summer heat.
But it also means homework, and science fair, and high school drama, and Algebra II, and stress >.<
Not sure whether to be excited or horrified.
Also, I have an algebra packet and two book reports to complete for the first days of math and English class, and I haven't actually started anything. Sooo...

Inch I totally get where you are coming from  I have a biology chapter to catch up on that I was meant to do over holidays but never quite got round to it....time to bite the nails I think xxx

Summer here as been a mix of very hot and humid and very cold and wet.
It's been decent compared to most summers we have.
I'm excited for school to start though since I'm starting college on the 4th and it's so exciting.
Plus that means it's closer to next summer, which means I get to meet Stellz :3

I'm not in school, so I'm actually kind of looking forward to summer being over so I don't have to deal with the heat anymore. It's been around 100 degrees everyday here. When it's that hot you really can't do anything without quickly losing motivation

Hot and dry for me as well. It rained a bit around my birthday but that's all. Mmm... I don't get back to school until the 5th of September. But yeah it's been hot and dry for me .

Wow, the schools go back that soon? I stopped keeping track when my brother left school and I don't tend to frequent overly-populated areas, so...
Heh, I don't go back to uni until the 10th September, although I move back over there soon enough, 23rd of this month, now that things have been shuffled forward a little.
I can't stress enough how much I've hated this summer. Sitting around waiting for hospital appointments to come and pass, waiting for a decision to be made, and getting frustrated as hell that the NHS didn't listen when I first brought the problem to them and effectively wasted my entire summer. Not that I'm at all bitter about that.
I just want to get out of here.
