So, I was arguing with a homophobic person who lives in China, and like I do in many internet-based arguments regarding sexuality, I told him to go use google and see for himself that your sexuality and who you love is not a choice. After that, though, I realized that he probably can't just google it because he country doesn't want him to know the truth or be accepting.

Now that is thought provoking. In fact, that is kind of scary. How do stand a chance of making somebody understand you when their government won't let you?

Wow, that's a good point O.o

It's kind of like brain-washing in a sense. And whilst it is possible to disagree with what you've been told to believe, it can be a huge deal, and it's really difficult.

So, I guess you can't blame people who are constantly surrounded by such biased material. It's sad :/
