I need some suggestions. I'm so bored of my hair. It's driving me crazy. This is a (somewhat crappy) picture of what my hair looks like in natural light:

I've dyed my hair blonde and medium brown before and the brown looked way better. Everybody said so...except my weirdo ex boyfriend who actually got mad at me when I died my blonde hair brown...I've decided that I definitely don't want to go blonde again because after awhile, it turns yellowy and the roots are terrible and I don't have the money to keep constantly dying it. There's the option of going darker I guess, but I'm afraid that won't look good. I also like the idea of fire engine red, but I know that would look bad. What about burgandy? I know nothing about what colors would look good on me, so I need help from someone who does. I don't want to cut my hair because I like it long, but I'm just so bored with it right now that I'm afraid I'll end up cutting it on a whim if I don't dye it soon.

I think burgandy may be a good idea. You could just take a red dye that has no chemicals in it (like aforementioned Manic Panic, but there are better "veggie dye" brands) and dye it right over your brown hair- it will tint it red but not lighten it, so roots won't be as noticable.

The manic panic blue is pretty spot on to what I see in my head , so I second Stellz motion.
I feel like that blue would flatter you very nicely.
