Well hello there! My name's Julia, I'm a teenager (not sure if I'm allowed to post my age) and I have Asperger's. I'm a lesbian Emoticon: Rainbow Pride (p) , and have known for a while.

I love music! I sing and play guitar and piano/keyboard. My favourite artists are Blondie, Adele and Jessie J, but I also love the Beatles and songs from musicals. My playlists look like someone's just hit the randomise button and taken it from there XD.

I'm also a big fan of drawing chibis. I love Japan, and all of its associated components.

I would say that I'm probably femme, as I love make-up and corsets O.o XD I also LOVE high heels. However, I tend to be more attracted to other femmes than to more masculine girls.

And I love Emma Peel from The Avengers, as played by Diana Rigg.

Not much more to say, really.

Julia

Hey Julia! I'm from Scotland as well, not many Scottish people! Talking about not so sunny, did you see the rain at T in the Park? It was mental! I'm 15, 16 next month, and I'm bisexual, but I veer more towards femme girls Emoticon: Tongue :p Anyway welcome to QA, you'll love it Emoticon: Smile :)
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Wow, didn't expect so many responses! Emoticon: Grin :D

Hi Sammy! What do your favourite high heels look like? With me, it's a toss-up between my over-the-knee black faux-leather boots, and my cute kitten-heeled red and cream ones.

Ha, I noticed that there was another Julia! There aren't many of us, we should stick together! And that's awesome that you've been to Japan, what's it like?

Rosie, as I'm sure you know, there are different degrees of Aspie-ness, just as there are different degrees of autism. Also I'm trying my very best to be social Emoticon: Smile :) You know how with a lot of people with Asperger's they just say what they think? Due to a few bad experiences when I was younger, I veer in the opposite direction, being very polite and trying not to offend anybody. And I often come across better online than I do in person, because I don't have to "think on my feet" so much. Also emoticons are easier to decipher than actual facial expressions XD I've also always been good at writing, so that probably contributed to your confusion. But I think you should maybe reserve judgement about whether I have Asperger's or not until you know me a bit better. I was actually diagnosed, after all.

Hiya Kimberley! So, whereabouts in Scotland are you from? I'm from North Lanarkshire. And I saw the rain! All that mud! I know some people who went and they said it was incredible, but so cold and dreich at the same time Emoticon: Smile :)

Thanks for the replies, everyone! Oh, and I've just turned seventeen Emoticon: Smile :)

Julia

I'm from Arbroath, rubbish little town in the north east! Emoticon: Sad :( A few people in my form class were there and judging by the photos, it looks like they were walking through a river! Emoticon: Gasp :o I was watching it at home so I was cosy and dry! Emoticon: Tongue :p Never been to North Lanarkshire! Emoticon: Tongue :p

Welcome! I just joined today too!

Femme for the win, High heels represent.

*gives dap*

I'm actually not a femme exactly, but I'm as girly as it gets so I can dig it.

Scotland sounds nice. I own an isle over there, yknow? Emoticon: Smile :)

And how dapper is this, I have Asperger's too!

Emoticon: QA Megaphone (qa)High-functioning forms of Autism ALL THE WAY! *highfive*

Your Explanation to Rosie's confusion was quite articulate. I get that a lot as well. It is a common misconception, especially on the web, to misconstrue the versatile nature of Aspergers syndrome. I myself started off non-confrontational, unable to speak, with poor expression recognition. Years now, I am not overly talkative, but when I speak, I am perhaps a little too blunt. That is preferable in my experience. I am not so good on my feet occasionally, but for the most part, the anxiety is a minimum, and I am exceptionally good at reading people and their intentions.

Most likely why I like the internet. No faces to be read! Emoticon: Grin :D

Welcome aboard Emoticon: Grin :D

Yeah, aside from yourself, I've only met, like, one other Julia in my entire life. We should make a club or something, haha.

Japan was quite nice. The people there are, as to be expected, exceedingly polite and kind. However, they do have a habit of staring at any white people that are around. They also like to touch your hair, especially if you're a blonde, like me. They think you're so incredible just for being Caucasian.xD

I think you're being a bit ridiculous. I wasn't judging at all. It was actually a compliment.

Oh, Rosie, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. I've just had a lot of people tell me that I can't possibly have Asperger's, and when I can't decipher what somebody means I tend to think that they're being negative. Sorry Emoticon: Sad :(

And thanks for the compliment.

Hi Tyler! It isn't Judo that you teach, by any chance, is it? 'Cause I used to do Judo. 'Twas FUN!

Hey, Joy! I adore chibis, at some point I'll upload the ones that I've drawn. And manga/anime as a style is awesome.
