Okay. Say you go on an outing with a friend. You go to see a movie. You share a popcorn & drink (two straws, though). You go for ice cream after the movie because it's a really hot day. Then you both go back to the friend's place for dinner later on.

Neither of you has said anything about this being a date, but neither of you has said anything to the contrary, either. Does it count as a date?

Um.... I do stuff like that all the time with my friends... but they're girls so.. um.... I don't know. Do you both like each other?

I dont count things as dates unless I KNOW its a date, especially since Im really close with my friends. You would have to clarify...

I think if someone asks you out on a date, it's a date, obvs. Basically if you've both established that it's a date, then it's a date. If you haven't, then no.

If one of you were a girl and the other a boy, I think it would be considered a date. So I guess, if you're both gay and both know that each other is gay, then it's a date.

Mmyep, that's what I was saying. Thanks, guys xD

I asked because I'd been in the above-described situation, and my mom's been teasing me about how it was "a date" ;P Just wanted some verification.
