Psh, there will probably a ton more of these.
So, last night my mom and I got to talking and she really pissed me off. again.
She started talking about a transgender friend of hers that knew she should have been a boy at 2 years old. (I don't doubt that, just btw)
I said that bisexual or gay is different. I've heard of gay or bi people who didn't know until they were 11-13. She said that I couldn't know who I like until I'm old enough to want to have sex.
Then, I told her about how I like-liked one of my friends (who was a girl). She then said that I was too young then just like I'm too young now.
She clearly stated that she would not support me in a relationship with a girl until she felt I was old enough.
I'm pissed but sad but I want to cry in a corner.
I suppose I have to shut up about it and keep any relationships I have a secret, but that feels so wrong.
What should I do?

personally i dnt talk to my mom about my girlfriend because next time she says im confused or that im young or that its just a stage i will probably just go off. I talk to my sister instead and i come to qa with the questions i cant ask my mom. tell her how you feel....It will work out.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I know its super tough when parents don't understand. I try not to talk to my mom about a lot of my girl liking problems (I have a few of them right now) but maybe sometime calmly tell her that you do love her as a parent and appreciate the advice she gives you but that it is your life and that you should be able to choose your own path in life. In my opinion, parents should be supportive of their children no matter what their child's choice.
