Okay so I've been trying to find other ways of chest binding. The older and older I get the more and more I come to the realization that to feel comfortable in my body I will have to start binding my chest. Of course being a DD size it's really hard to chest bind without buying a specialized chest binder. I decided to go onto Yahoo! Answers and ask if anyone in the LGBT part of it could help me out. The only two responses I've gotten are about how it's all in my head. About how I need to get a therapist and to be proud of the body I have. That God gave me a DD size chest to show off. Bullcrap! I'm sorry but I hate when people tell me that a DD chest is a blessing. It's a curse! I want it gone! I'm sorry but these people just get me mad. You can't go on a LGBT group and not understand what being androgynous means and not understand that it's legit!

My FTM boyfriend has a slightly larger problem. He tried a sports bra for a while as well as a tensor bandage. The bra didn't help much and the bandage would slip and become painful. Basically, nothing is quite as good as a binder. He got the second one down on this website(ftm.underworks.com) and he is very happy with the results.

If I were you, I'd invest invest in a binder. Never use ACE bandages, you can bruise your ribs like I did. Don't use tape either, you'll rip off your skin and also end up bruising your ribs.
I'm putting up some links of binders I recommend for people with larger chests.

Anything from this site is good, except for the swimsuit.

These guys are amazing, they really are knowledgeable about binding.
Or you can PM Codie (sk8indel) on here, he's one of the guys who run binders101.

There are millions of options to binding. However are bandages are up there on the "not healthy" list.
Doubling up on sports bras that or a size too small will reduce the size of your chest. Doing so under those work out compression shirts will help more. Also the Title 9 Frog Bra, a real bra that from everything I've read in a size too small can nearly flatten large chests. Check out some reviews online.
Rash guards(the swim shirts for guys) also have some decent binding results.
The best results would come from looking into getting or making a binder. But second to that is layering of lighter compression based clothing.

I was planning to make one myself, with an old sleeveless top. I was thinking of cutting one side just underneath the armpit and re-sew it tighter. Do you think it might work?

You'd likely need more then one. Never hurts to try tho! And if it doesn't stretch out too much/you can get it safe but tight enough then you could improve upon it as you go!

It kinda worked. Well I didn't put a proper bra, but one of those top shirts you put underneath your tee when it's colder, and folded the bottom so it made a little pressure, then on top I put the self-made binder, which wasn't so bad after all, and the effect was quite satisfying (: I had a baggy shirt on top, so I felt comfy all the time

I'm a little new to some of this stuff, but may I ask why you would want to bind your chest?
I guess I like boobs too much, lol.

Abigail. There are many reason why a person might want to bind their own chest.
1. Because they're transgender. So they don't feel comfortable with their own body shape, therefore they bind waiting for top surgery.
2. Because they're genderfluid, so they don't identify as male or female or they identify as both.
Personally I still don't know my gender identity. I feel more comfrortable as a man, and honestly I like when people look at me twice to understand if I'm male or female.

I've been looking for another way to bind- I've been using a lightly wrapped ace bandage and putting a tight sports bra to hold it in place and help with the flattening. Other than that-nothing other than buying one. :/ Does your way work well?

Ouchy!!! I've made homemade binders but they hurt my ribs way too much in the end. I don't recommend them. I'm gonna have to say to go with a real binder from one of the websites that the guys listed above. Binding homemade-style is super dangerous and it's painful... Don't do it to yourself.

To Abigal I'm androgynous. It means that I don't identify as male or female. Some people call it genderfluid. But I don't like it when you can obviously tell that I'm a female when you see two DD boobs in my shirt. I like to look gender mutual.

Hey guys,
I used to use ace bandages, i didn't know any other solutions so i bandaged my chest for a long time. I saw some review on chest binders and a online friend introduced me to binding with chest binders, i was like "what", i've been living in a cave
To tell the truth, ace bandages didn't get me so flat as i wanted and it was annoying as it shifts around. I got some different styles from here.
The High Performance binder, and the Jersey Mesh Short binder, It got me down from a C to pecs. Gave me an easier time at school and my preference for my body.
good luck to you guys with binding, but i recommend checking out love boat's binder.
