So there was this PFLAG hosted prom thing in my city last night. I can't dance at all but I went and had a good time, and afterwards me and my friend went to Ihop with some people we met there. They drove us home and I was the last to go, and this guy I met there told me he thought I was cute and kissed me.
Now he wants to see me again tomorrow, and I really want to as well, but I have this weird feeling about it. It's almost like fear, but I'm just nervous because I've never really been on a date with hardly anyone. But it also feels like guilt. I have no idea why I should feel guilty about this, but I guess I do!
Has anyone ever felt this way? How did you deal with it?

You are really lucky. I have never been kissed by a guy before. Haven't dated either. I think, you should meet him somewhere and tell him it's your first date and ask him where he would like to go. If your feeling is just and you feel like something bad will happen if you go, don't go!
I know, probably the worst advice ever.

I had the exact same experience at a pflag prom. Usually it's just anxiety about trying new things. Just be careful, but go ahead and try it.

That being said, I just ignored it, and yes, I felt the guilt as well. After about a week, it went away, and I had a very nice meaningful relationship.

On top of what Alyx said make sure you bring a cell phone with you and stay out in public for the first few dates just to make sure this guy isn't a weirdo... otherwise go for it and have fun!!!

Yeah, agreed there. Either way, first dates should always be in public imo ;)

If you feel scared go with a friend near by! It may be my anxiety specking for me but I believe in listen to your gut.
Maybe you should go on the date to see if you can find out what you feel guilty about?

Thank you all for your input. And no it's not bad advice! Anything and everything helps. I think I'll probably just go for it and see what happens. Thank you all
