I have a friend Katie and we became best friends in like a week. I haven't one out to her yet but I want to. I'm scared. I don't wanna loose her because she's like my sister and I love her so much.

Ask her how she feels about homosexuality and such. If she seems accepting, go for it. Good luck.

Pretty much what Hannah said. Good luck!

Then she's not worth your time. Of she can't accept you for you, why bother?

I wouldn't ignore her if she disagrees. I'd try to change her mind. ^.^ I managed to change my best friend's views, and now he's less homophobic and more accepting.

You've only been best friends for a week give it time. If she's a real friend she'll care about you and not who you like.

Like Hannah said, its only been a week. Some people wait years to come out to friends, you dont have to do it right now if you're not ready. Give it time and feel her out for a bit longer if that'll make you more comfortable.

I'd also recommend getting to know her a little better first.

What I used to do when I was coming out to people was start a conversation having to do with gay issues and see how they feel about it. If they seemed homophobic I wouldn't come out to them. If they didn't seem homophobic, I would usually come out to them. Besides, if she has a problem with it, wouldn't you rather not have someone who would hate you because of your sexuality as a friend?
