I mean.. I'm not a full go to church every sunday sort of Christian. But I believe in God. There's.. I don't know how to explain it. I believe in a greater power.. I guess.

But... at the same time, it seems weird that I'm... bisexual. I mean, it just pisses me off when people say the two girls together or two guys together is wrong. Did you know that there isn't a SPECIFIC verse or saying in the Bible against our LOVE?

Sometimes.. I have lapses in faith. Why would God do this to me? For my love?

Input?

I go through this a lot.
If anything being lgbt has brought me closer to God
My faith has grown...
So can you be lgbt and be Christian?
Yes.

Yes you can believe in him, even though he's cough unoriginal cough. You see all this crap about LandGs being sinners is bs. It's spouted by homophobic believers who misuse the supposed words of God, so seriously just go believe whatever the hell you want because there is no objections other than those clearly corrupted fools.

Yes you can Emoticon: Smile :). Being LGBT shouldn't change or prevent you from following your faith and doing the things you've always done. I'm Christian and a lesbian.

If the Bible couldn't be interpreted in multiple ways, we wouldn't have different denominations/religions that use it. Also depends on how literally you want to use the Bible as the final word on everything. Of course the Bible says nothing about bisexuality, because the people of the time didn't know what that was and didn't understand it in the context we do today. When the Bible talks of homosexuality, it's not talking about same-sex relationships the way we understand them today.

Well, The Bible does say that homosexuality (and, indirectly, bisexuality) is a sin, and a big one at that. That's fairly indisputable, it says it several times. However, the whole point of Christianity is that faith in God wipes away your sin. So yes, you can be a bisexual christian. You could also be a murderer and a rapist-christian, but that's beside the point.

But the bible is a secondary source, it isn't even accurate, i mean the first testament was rewritten due to scientific error, so the bible is obviously not the word of GOD, historians disbelieve it to be the exact words of god.

@Liam But Christians are called to "sin no more". You're not supposed to willfully do something sinful and repent at the last minute; you're supposed to make as much of an effort as possible to not sin. Of course everyone will slip up, that's human nature. But if you're not supposed to continue purposefully doing something sinful...

Of course you can, religion isn't about your orientation although some christians who spread hate will tell you otherwise. Of course those are the same people pick and choose what to inforce out of the bible. They always want to bring up marriage in the bible is between a man and a women, but they don't want inforce the if a women has sex before she is married she is suppose to be executed. Now of course they over look that one huh! Pick & choose should be the name of christians who spread hate.

@dominykas well thats the problem, isn't it? You can't just choose not to be gay, and if you try, you'll just be miserable, yet it's still a sin. I don't really believe the bible, I just know it from a Christian childhood.

It is completely possible to be Christian and LGBT. I am, and several of my friends are.

There are several fantastic documentaries (For the Bible Tells Me So, and Fish Out of Water are two that come to mind) on the subject, as well as tons of websites.

yes you can be Gay and Christian, IDK about trans though, the bible never says you cant get a sex change but it does say men should not masquerade as women.

Although I could never understand why anyone would want to be LGBT Christian because all of your straight christian friends will look at you like an Abomination.

Yes, of course. At heart Christianity is a caring and tolerant faith, about acceptance and forgiveness.

Can't understand why anyone LGBT+ would want anything to do with the current episcopal mess that's arisen though, but each to their own.

Of course you can! That's what I am! I focus on my relationship with God and loving others. I also try to seek knowledge from different viewpoints about Christianity and how much of modern doctrine is true. Here's a lovely article about what it really says about gays in the bible. It's written by a gay pastor- I highly recommend it.

Also discovering I'm gay has increased the depth of my faith because I seek truth more than I did before. My relationship with God has grown for sure. It's sad that so many Christians have alienated LGBT people.. But humanity likes to persecute. But believe me, you do not have to avoid Christianity because of the stupid people. It's about loving others and knowing God. If you ever want to talk with me about things like that, feel free to message me!

I think, while I myself don't believe in God, that being LGBT and Christian is completely okay.

It's your faith with your god and other people don't get to dictate what is and isn't okay.

I don't know though.. It might be more difficult to keep up faith though with all the people who will be willing to tear you down.

Of course you can! I am pansexual and I am a christian (but then I rarely go to church). I just hate people who say girlxgirl and guyxguy is not right. I kind of like this girl and why is that wrong that god made me that way?

The only part in the bible about homosexuality is Leviticus 18:22
"Man shall not lie with mankind as with womankind, it is abomination;"
This can be interpreted to mean nothing to do with love, just sex.
There is nothing wrong with having faith whilst still being part of the LGBT community.
