Okay, so I got home today and my mum was stood in the kitchen self-proudly. I asked her what she had done, and she told me that she had put my name down to go to a Gay Youth Club in the next town.
I got excited, and asked one of my friends if they go. He told me he doesn't, but his friend did and it's full of creeps and people who bitch about you.
This is probably gonna make me sound really uneducated, my I'm quite nervous about going now. The age-range is 13-25, which I thought was a little weird. They're mixing the young in with the old.
I'm pretty scared about this.

Try going in with an open mind.
You might actually enjoy yourself. Maybe it's not "full of creeps and people who bitch about you"
You might actually meet some cool people.
I dunno, I've never been to anything like that before. at least give it a go Emoticon: Smile :)

I say go at least twice and if you don't like it, then leave. Just keep reminding yourself that there's really nothing to be scared about. And if people are being really rude, judemental, bitchy, or creepy, just get up and walk away.

This is the way I felt about about joining my school's GSA. I thought I would hate it and everyone would be creepy, but it turned out fine. Give it a chance.

You should at least try it. Probably a really good way to meet potential partners.

That age range shouldn't be that frightening to you, that is the same range that is here. I think what might be worrying you is what your friend said or the fact that you will be face to face instead of having a screen as a buffer.
