I know I have a weird spiritual view but in the end its still relevant to the here and now.
The Earth is our God because she supports our existence however we as a human race have established ourselves as the masters of the earth. In the height of Humanities technological advancements we've made alot of mistakes that are harming the Earth. Although benevolent the Earth is not as infinitley forgiving as the common idea of god. The Earth is giving us time to correct our mistakes but dont be fooled, she will lose her patience and kill us (ie: CLIMATE CHANGE) should we cause too much harm to her, for all life depends on her.
although many humans may not realize it, in Establishing ourselves as masters of the Earth, we have in a sense become its gaurdians, yet we act like we are the gods.
We feel as though we can we can take up all the land, cut down the forests, take life from wherever we choose and use any part of the earth for our own advancement.
Well we cant do that because if we continue the earth will be altered in such a way that it cannot support human life any longer.
We may act like the masters of the earth but we are at her mercy... instead of using the earth we need to be protecting the earth.

I agree. Mother Earth supports us and provides us with everything we need to grow and thrive. All she asked in return was some respect, but so far, we have squandered her gifts.
