how do i put a picture in the signature block? i can get a link in there but the picture doesn't appear... im a techno phobe, so i'm sorry if it's painfully obvious or someone else has done this topic :L

It looks like you're trying to link to a file on your hard drive. The first thing you need to do it upload your photo to an online location (ImageShack, Photobucket, even a QA Gallery) and then use the image link provided by that service to embed your photo in your signature.
Please keep in mind that we maintain some regulations as to the sizes of images in your signature.

Panda, I'm really sorry to be a pain but I can see from the link that the image you're trying to use is far too big and visually distracting.
Signatures need to be small (60 pixels high at the most) and subtle enough that other users can scroll through a page without noticing them. This helps people's experience of QA and its threads stay about the content.

When you've got an appropriate image, you can add it to your sig with the code [img src="www.website.com/picture.jpg"], replacing [ and ] with crocodile brackets.
