I'd say it's best not to get into a conversation like that with someone as ignorant as her... Especially with her original tone after nothing offensive had been said upon her... Therefore you do not know what her resulting actions may be... I think you stood up just enough and didn't get too carried away at the same time...
You are constantly waiting for the best days of your life, until you know the best days of your life is only a room away. That day, is 6,000 miles away.

You were totally in the right there. You didn't start a fight, I would get just as, if not more, annoyed with her.

I LOVE THAT BOOK!!!!! HOW DARE SHE? ok, maybe u could have handled it differently and just, like, flicked her off or sumfin, but it sounds like she WAS being a homophobic bitch. ;)
please don't burry me down in the cold cold ground
i'd rather have you cut me up and pass me all around
throw my brain in a hurricane and the blind can have my eyes
the deaf can have both my ears if they don't mind the sighs.

I love that book! Of course, it's my only "gay book" so there may be better out there, but it's great!

I think that you did the right thing by defending your argument, but if people are going to take us seriously, we should probably not be so quick to call people homophobic bitches, even when it's disgustingly apparent that they are.

Even though it's incredibly unlikely that she'd change her mind, next time keep your cool and shut down her argument with defensive points of your own. Chances are, she'll get riled up and look like an idiot while you're standing there completely cool, armed with good points. If you see two people, one manic and one calm, which one are you more likely to see as the superior? Game, set, match. Emoticon: Rainbow Pride (p)
