For the last few days i have really been thinking the american people are being broke up by this republican or democrat, liberal, conservative BS (smoke and mirrors). I personally think that one day the american people will have to come together and take their country back. It is said in the constitution that revolts are neccesary at some point.
So the question i ask is do you think america will ever revolt again?
Can the people revolt or is the government already to big?

I think that America is supposed to be "indivisible" yet we have stupid republican and democratic parties which kinda defeats the whole purpose. However, at the moment it seems to work for America although one day it won't work anymore.

The founding fathers of the country didn't want political parties, for exactly that reason. But then Andrew Jackson came and became the leader of the Democratic party, thus putting the parties into action.
XD Sorry, we just learned about this in Social Studies. I wouldn't usually know that.

This was something George Washington warned us about. Political parties and different views on things. But like Autumn said Andrew Jackson came along and split it up.

Its definitely screwed now.
But is there a "last straw" or "the straw that broke the camels back", or will the american people continue to take it?

Actually, the founding fathers realized that it was ultimately impossible to avoid political parties from forming and they developed our system of government to keep factions from truely letting the governement get out of hand. So, the fact that we have political parties is not the real problem. I think it's the fact that people are getting caught up in saying, "I'm Republican, screw the Democrats," or, "I'm liberal and I hate those conservatives," rather than thinking about what their side stands for and how they individually feel about each individual issue.
But people don't care to educate themselves fully on all the issues, they simply like to blindly take sides and call out slurs. So, to answer the question, I don't think America will really revolt because people aren't thinking for themselves all that much and the political parties surely aren't going to tell them to revolt.
Besides, there are better ways to fix this problem than revolution. Perhaps just a new Congres...

Good post katie, Ive decided to give up all that political party crap. A new congress is good but how do we get a brand new congress without some kind of revolution, like a "peaceful protest/revolution" with millions of americans taking over congress. I quote peaceful revolution because im not even sure if such a thing exists, its cause and effect, there will always be a price to pay.
From my knowledge of history our founding fathers would be ashamed of us at this moment in time. They would have never let the government get away with even half the crap they do today. Yet we continue to lay blame on eachother instead of the real problem big government. Obama= big government Romney/Santorum= big government. Santorum actually was quoted saying if you want a small government then vote for ron paul. Sounds good to me rick im writing him in.

While we have the right to take up arms against our government, I highly doubt we will be able to at this point. Too many precautions have been taken. Besides, it would weaken our nation, and therefore other nations, disassembling the current international hierarchy. Hell, other countries might get involved, which would cause even more issues.
