So everyone is blowing up Twitter and Facebook about Gaga's oh-so-recent performance on MTV's Video Music Awards. She dressed as Jo Calderone, her male alter ego (An homage to the homosexual character in the Beatles' song, Get Back). What does everyone think of this recent spectacle? Yay or Nay?
I personally think Gaga was completely fabulous, and her performance was really impressive and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I feel like she had a wonderful message about gender identity and it made me happy! Go Gaga!
Here is the article and a photo of the performance:

I've loved Gaga I saw Just Dance for the first time, but I think Jo Calderone has made me love her just that much more.

I thought it was really awesome how she worked that. I'm not familiar with the background story, but she is capable of a variety of things. Her performance only solidified that.

The performance was really, really good. Even amazing. It portrayed transgender individuals in an awesome light. I really appreciate the way she sticks up for the WHOLE community and does it in an often tasteful, and always positive manner. So, my opinion is definetly yay!

Nay. The performance was fine, but I think the character got pretty awkward/obnoxious as the ceremony continued and that's where she lost whatever message she was trying to convey. It was cool that she addressed the community in her acceptance speech, but the seemingly drunken/randomness of it all just ruined it for me.

Nothing Gaga does anymore shocks me, personally.
I do think it's great that she continues to be supportive of equal rights, though.

She looked fucking ridiculous. Like an insult to Amy Winehouse. Her performance was trashy.
But I also hate everything Gaga. She needs to learn grown up words. Gaga is something babies say.
