I've never had a boyfriend, but I've always found myself attracted to masculine men. I can see myself in a well built guy's arms. As long as he doesn't live at the gym, and visits on a regular basis.
Feminine men are nice, but if I dated one, he'd have to at least know how to do something with his hands. No, yes, that too.
I've never heard the term 'twink' or 'bear'. So I'll just leave it at that.

I'm more into lean muscular men. Like not to big, but there's some muscle. Feminine are great to hang out with, but I'm not that interested in dating one. I love them though great close friends um twinks and bears are both appealing with some restrictions.

Cristian
Bears are generally bigger and hairier
Twinks are maybe quite skinny and hairless

I'm leaning more to the masculine side, but as long as he's not overly camp it doesn't bother me. Twinks just don't do it for me at all, so it'd have to be bear. Although to be honest I'd rather have a boyfriend who has an american footballer's build or is just plain stocky

Okay so I might dig bears, though I'm sure there's got to be a name for the middle ground. I wouldn't want him too big and hairy, I'd like a good athletic build with a bit of hair on his chest.

Oh I am definitely on the bear side. I like all sorts of guys though, I like some emo guys and some twinks. I just prefer a bigger guy with some scruff on their face, more my type. I don't like a hyper masculine personality however, it's obnoxious.
I always make sense, you just listen intermittently.

@ Leward: I showed your response to my friend, who's a lesbian, and she said that your description fits me perfectly!!

"You Jezebel! I pray George Lucas drowns you in his white man gold!"-very good friend of mine texted that to a guy who was pissing him off

I like twinks more because I usually like being the masculine one that kindof takes care of the other and kind of wears the pants (but not in the like... dominearing controling way... if that makes sense). but I also like the occational bear as well.

Definitely masculine.
As for the twink/bear situation,I'll take either, but I'm leaning towards the bear side of the spectrum.

I wouldn't say I like feminine guys, nor masculine guys, more something in between. In any case, any guy who makes me blush or laugh I'm bound to like xD....i can't help it

i, personally, really dont care as long AS it not unhealthy, and they are not really off-putting (for want of a better word) but do look at the for some reason.
it sounds wierd ,but, providing they're alive (and nice) i dont particularly care.
it will be alright in the end, and if it's not alright, it's not the end yet.

You've identified two very different subcultures within gay culture that really won't influence my judgement whatsoever and as long as these personality traits don't negatively effect the relationship I'd have with the person, it wouldn't matter much to me.

I don't really care as I like moderation as opposed to extremes. Anything could start up my engine.
