Herro Ok well I actually don't like the US one that much - the UK one is more of a drama and less of a soap... I have the UK 1 + 2 on DVD. QAF US is rather hefty - good luck with getting through all those series
I think that the whole of QAF UK is funny, sweet, sad, happy, and generally good Vince's mum is best of course!!

"Vince's mum is best of course!!"
Hehehe - yep yep yep! One of the best characters ever.
"UK one is more of a drama and less of a soap"
That's a good point too!
Go the original QAF! The American one sacrificed quality and true genious for more episodes just to make more money.
The US one is just another soap, but based around mainly LGBT characters. The original version was something so much more.

It may be trashy, and as already slandered, american, i still like QAFUS, ive been rewatching it (i hae it all) and it has its moments. And the actors are hotter HAHA.
I might get round to obtaining the UK series at some point.

The UK version is far better. Queer as Folk, written by Russell T. Davies (He now of Doctor Who fame), was written about the British Gay Scene, with a British sence of Homour, perfectly performed by actors handpicked by Russell himself.
This was his baby, this was where he wanted it to end, how he wanted it to end. The Americans (as they do) took the idea and decided to take it to something much bigger than the cult that has built up around the british version, they wanted to make it mainstream and also milk a few more episodes out of the story.
I am one of the sad obsessives of the British version, so I say, watch and enjoy the American version, but esspecially enjoy the pure beauty of the British version, and remember all it did for being gay in the UK.

Definitley one of the greatest and most positive queer-positive shows around.
I fell in love with the US version - the stories, the content and the hot boys (Brian & Justin!!)
I loved how they didn't censor too much and showed everything a gay boy would want to see in the program.
Kudos to an amazing show. Its unfortunate that it had to come to a close.
