Hey, welcome to QA and the QA Forums!

This is a brilliant little community, and we're glad you've decided to be part of it. Please do respect your surroundings though; take your time, read all the instructions where provided, and enjoy your stay.

Because trust and openness are important to us, you won't have full access to QA's features until you've posted a proper introduction and we've welcomed you in. At the bottom of this post, there's a link back to the Introductions forum for you to create your topic. Before that though, here's a quick guide.

For your topic title, make it personal by including your name and location, like "Joe from London!". First names only, however -- last names aren't allowed anywhere on QA.

When writing your post, here's some stuff to include:

Your name/nickname (but not full name)
Where you're from (don't use abbreviations or state short codes, we don't all know what they mean)
Your age
Your sexuality (gay, bi, lesbian, trans, straight, unsure)
Your favourite band/film
How you found us

That kind of thing

Be original, and don't rush it. We'll remove ultra-short intros. Text is our medium, so write well -- we love paragraphs with punctuation and proper capitalisation. We're not so into txt spk.

Please be careful not to:

include your full name, or your school (it doesn't take much for someone to find your posts through Google)
include your email or IM details anywhere (you can swap these addresses in private messages instead)

So yep, all that aside! I'm glad you've registered and we hope to see lots more of you on QA! If you ever need anything, drop one of the Mods a line and we'll be happy to help.
