Well i have kissed pretty much all of my close friends, but we were under the influence of alcohol, so maybe that cancels it out.
Just remember that if she is straight then you might face bitter disappointment and to be honest. Yes, it would probably be a little unusual to just plane ask your friend to kiss you.

well, she wasn't sure if she was straight or not, so she asked me to kiss her... does that count?

I've only kissed my best friend once, but that was because she was moving away so it was pretty much mandatory to do it.

As for your situation, there may be no "right" way to ask for it. From what I've read and what I've understood, you guys are close so it may be fine normally, but the fact that you both have boyfriends at the moment, may make it awkward.

i have made out with all my best friends - all of 'em girls and it was one of those experiences that really showed me who i was - hot for gals xD

idk, they all went for me first, i guess i have a sign on my forehead saying 'kissing practice here. do it and still come out heterosexual. kinda'

I've got a major crush on my best friend, so I wish! I don't have the guts to, however................

I made out with one of my female best friends once, but we did it because we were teaching our other friend how to kiss, so I guess you could say it was a platonic make out session? If it's something you want to do, then go for it! Typically, girls are a lot more open to a same-sex kissing than guys, so you might have a shot. I'd recommend not being quite so forward about it though...may instead of straight out asking her, you could introduce the topic in a game of truth or dare or something else along those lines.

Me and my best friend... Well, she's in a serious relationship. But we still kiss (and sometimes that kissing is more like making out). She's always the one to initiate it other than a peck on the cheek. Her boyfriend was really jealous and angry about it at first, and I felt really bad, but he came to realise that it didn't mean anything non-platonic. He's given her permission to kiss me so long as it's not in front of him and is purely platonic. We're a touchy-feely pair, she often sits in my lap and we cuddle loads. I guess it's just natural for us (even though I feel really awkward about it sometimes).

But enough of my ramblings. I'd say come right out with it. "How would you react if I kissed you?" or "Can I kiss you?" or something similar in a moment that seems appropriate, and is private. Give her a chance to be shocked if she's shocked. Good luck =)
