Dear members of ye olde internet forum for young gayers,
We'd like every member, newbie or veteran, to help us maintain the cute, cosy, and fuzzy warmth of this here website by ensuring that all newbies get properly welcomed in. We're not a huuuuge site and that's the way we like it but sustained growth is vital. And all new members should feel like they've found somewhere safe and accepting, right? Glad you agree!
Here's how you can help. This is based on Staff policy so we'll lead by example.
Each day that you're on the site:- click through to the full Introductions forum
- firstly, look for any topics which have less than 3 replies and reply to them, just so that no-one is left behind
- respond to the oldest ones first (bottom up)
- choose any others that you want to reply to
- if the intro is good, try to reward that by giving a personalised reply as opposed to your "standard welcome" if you have one
Hundreds of members pass through QA every day... and no-one is exempt! If you take something from our community, help give something back.
Many thanks,
Your weary yet appreciative Webmaster

We need more help with this; some intros are slipping through with just one reply, and some with none at all. Even if it seems like a chore, it has to be done.

I'm bumping this so more people notice it.
EVERYONE needs to read the intros and welcome new members.
Maybe this needs to be on the front page and a featured forum for a few weeks, so everyone sees this when they log in.

You will only expect a few words - what will those be? When the heart is full it may run over, but the real fullness stays within... Words can never tell you, however, - form them, transform them anyway, - how perfectly dear you are to me - perfectly dear to my heart and soul.

During busy periods, like now, intros can easily drop off the Mainpage and sit in the Introduction forum's main topic list without replies. This is bad form, on our part. Please make a point of checking the full Introductions forum to rescue any intros which could do with more attention. Thanks for your help.

-BUMP!-
Hey, QAers, go welcome the newbies! There are a few people that are halfway down the page with only 2 or 3 replies, and that isn't very nice, now is it?
This is one instance where peer pressure ISN'T bad. DO IT! NOW!!

Zachary, if you go into the Introductions forum, you'll find a "+ add new topic" tab. It'll look like:

Don't forget to read the Introduction guide first though.
Edit: I was too late, you've already posted one. But just in case anyone else is having trouble, I'll leave it here.

Bumpity bump bump!
I've been rooting through the intros and I've noticed a lot of intro topics with very low numbers of posts. It would be much appreciated if everyone just welcomed a few every day. If everyone did a little, we'd have plenty of responses.
You all remember what it was like when people replied to your intro posts. So c'mon, show the newbies how friendly and welcoming we are!
EDIT: Also, don't forget to check back through the last few pages. It's easy for topics to slip through the cracks when they're replaced by newer topics on the main page.

BUMP again!
Some of the newbies have been falling through with one or 2 replies, which means they're not getting the full benefit of our "fuzzy warmth".
Can everyone go and bombard them with welcomes? <3

But I'll still go spam newbies
