Topic: If someone asked if you were gay...

Moved from Starbucks to Queer Thinking. |
If someone asked you if you were gay, what would you say? Just to narrow down some variables, lets say that it's a person from school that you were pretty sure was straight.
Anyone?

Well... seeing as I'm bi-curious (pretty sure bi lol) if someone asked me if I was bi... I wish I could say I'd have the confidence to say "Yeah" or "Well... maybe I'm unsure at the moment." At least something like that.... the sad truth is I'd probably say no.

If they were close to me, I'd be honest.
But anyone else, I'd flat out deny.
Because I'm just quite pathetic like that.

Yeah me too, I'd probably deny it... Although I'd like to think that I would tell the truth lol.

If I knew them alright, then I guess I probably would. Because I'm the worst liar ever, so they'd guess anyway.
If they were basically a stranger, like I had only talked to them once or twice, then I probably wouldn't have the courage to.

I agree with Davey, I would probably deny it or change the subject rather quickly.

If it was my immediate family i'd say no I'm not... my dad and my oldest sister know im gay, but thats cause they are okay with us homosexuals! But as for my mom and my other sisters, i'd say no. then give em this face -__-
I would be open to strangers and friends.

No. Not at all. I live in far too small of an area and if I came out to one single person who I didn't trust completely, I might end up out to the whole school. Which in turn would mean my grandparents would find out, which in turn would mean I would get kicked out.
It was an exquisite irony: Just when we stopped wanting to kill ourselves, we started to die. Just when we were feeling strength, it was taken from us.
This should not happen to you.
Talk all you want about youth feeling invincible. Surely, some of us had that bravado. But there was also the dark inner voice telling us we were doomed. And then we were doomed. And then we weren't.
You should not feel doomed. Not in the same way.
you can only doom yourself.

I would say yes.
'"I don't see what you think is so wrong about being gay. Everyone is a human; the only difference is girls have boobs and a vagina while guys have penises," he shrugged. "You're attracted to who you're attracted to. Your body chooses not you." He turned and smiled at Craig. "Why limit yourself to annoying girls anyway?"
"Because it's normal," Craig answered bluntly.
"Normal meaning what. What society sees as right?" he scoffed. "I suggest you flip the world off Craig because not everyone is going to like you and I don't see why you should bother making yourself unhappy for the sake of everyone else."'

I'd say I was open to love whomever I happen to fall for whether it be a man, woman, ftm, etc.
Though, I haven't outed myself at my post-secondary school but haven't denyed it either. I'm living under the guise of heteronormativity which is odd.. because I was OUT to everyone at my catholic high school. lol

My initial reaction would be "Why?"
Not because they're asking me if I'm gay, but because they're asking me...anything. Lol, I'm funny like that.
Ah, it's like - I hate to bbe questioned about anything just out of the blue like that. I'm proud of who I am, but on the other hand, sometimes I wish people could notice obvious hints or just believe the never ending rumours once in a while.
Then I would get over it and say "Yup, I sure am."

I'd probably stutter awkwardly for a while and refuse to answer the question, which would TOTALLY give away my gayness... *sigh* I'm the worst liar ever. I don't even think I'm CAPABLE of lying...

If it was someone that wasn't in any of my classes, and I had never talked to them before, I would tell them.
Or if it was a close friend, then I'd answer.
But in most other cases, no
Only you

If someone asked I'd tell the truth. I'd probably tell them that I'm bi because bot many people know what pan is. I'm not ashamed of who I am and I'm not phased who knows. Most of my friends know, I've come out to two of my teachers I'm sure a third teacher suspects it. I don't hide it and I don't flaunt it.

You will only expect a few words - what will those be? When the heart is full it may run over, but the real fullness stays within... Words can never tell you, however, - form them, transform them anyway, - how perfectly dear you are to me - perfectly dear to my heart and soul.

God... I get asked if I'm a lesbian all the time. X__x I just say no. Or if they ask me if I'm GAY, I say "No, I'm bi."
I really don't care if people know my sexuality. It's not really that important. No one really cares at my school. Almost EVERYONE there is "bi" anyway X__x
