I was wondering if there are any post-rock fans on QA. I'm talking about bands like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, A Silver Mt. Zion, Eksi Ekso, Bell Orchestre, and so on and so forth. I've been a fan for a while, and now I'm curious how many others are fans.

I'm more into Jazz Fusion, Alternative, Experimental, Progressive, Shred-- that kind of stuff. I'm not really into any bands you mentioned.

I don't know if you'd consider these 'post-rock', but Buckethead, Al Di Meola, The Mars Volta, etc. That's what Im into. Those bands are too minimalistic and soft for my tastes. Post-metal, like the guys I just mentioned-- that's the shit!!

post metal is pretty awesome too. I was big into The Mars Volta a couple of years ago. heh, I stopped listening to them around the time I started listening to GY!BE. Post-rock leans more towards the ambient side, which is what really started pulling me in.
