I was just wondering how you kept QA so troll-free (trolls -- wackos telling us how we're all headed to eternal damnation). Have there been trolls on QA before? Or has no troll been brave enough to immerse him/herself so deeply in queer culture as is prevalent on QA? Lol.

I was actually thinking about this the other day. It's surprising that we don't get any. Perhaps the nut-jobs just haven't hunted us down and found us yet? I'm happy that we are troll-free, in any case  .

Hm, I only ever remember one homophobic troll making his way here. He wasn't even that bad.
But trolls are easy to spot (obviously) so it's not hard to get rid of them. They are personally the least of my worries when it comes to any troublesome members.

We do monitor site registrations. The last troll of the sort you described Esther that comes to mind was the account with the username fuckfaggots in June last year (Jordan will remember this one), which had lots of offensive content in its profile. The member joined at 19:44 and was banned by 20:00
We've had more trouble with spam. In particular this time a year ago was love50/love1 - Private Message Spambot.

If someone joins again one day who has homophobic things all over their profile, please don't send them a message. Just message a moderator and tell them about it, preferably Grum or Lewis since they have the authority to ban someone and I'll just be passing along a message.
Similarly if someone posts a homophobic topic, do not comment; contact one of us. By flipping out you only give a troll what they want.
