mission improbable. so we did it, you and i
we took the plunge
we held hands, our eyes shut tightly
breathing together as we moved toward to edge.

you told me you were ready,
that you were tired of waiting.
so i took your word for it.
and we jumped.

we jumped, with
no parachute, and no plan.

and we were so alone in that moment,
but you never let go of my hand.

even so,
as i watched the ground hurdle towards us,
i got scared.

scared for you.
for myself.
for what we'd just done.
the choice we'd just made...
and for the unknown. for what was to come.
and i didn't think i'd ever look you in the eyes again.

and then it happened...

we landed on our feet.

Awwwh, that was really nice. ^.^ The ending surprised me a bit, but it was a very good surprise. I guess I'm just not used to reading happy poetry. Emoticon: Tongue :p
