Blog Entry: "You're So Feminine"

"You're So Feminine" That's what my mom randomly said to me the other day. She always says things to me like that. "You'd make a very strange boy." "You've got such a nice, curvy figure." I know she doesn't mean anything by it, but for some reason it just depresses me.

Sometimes I love being a girl. I wear bikinis and dresses and high heels and makeup. But then there's times when I just feel sort of masculine and I just want to wear jeans and a t-shirt and when my mom comes up to me and says "You're so feminine, honey." it makes me want to curl up in a ball and die. And it scares me because I don't know what I want. Being feminine is supposed to be a good thing, so why does it make me feel so crappy sometimes?

Grr. I feel like there's no way to win.
