Entry

One Year on T As of the 27th of this month, I will have been on testosterone for one year. I did my shot two nights ago and passed out in the middle of it. I managed to finish and get the needle out, but I don't remember getting that far and the needle came out at an angle, so now my leg is really sore. I think I'm going to have to have somebody with me next time I do it, just in case. My roommate wasn't home when I came to and I had a really hard time remembering where I was or what I was doing. The past year has been good. I'm so glad I started hormones. My sideburns are coming in nicely, I think my voice has settled in where it's going to stay, complete change in muscle development and fat distribution, and a deeper sense of familiarity in my own skin. I seem to have made it through the awkwardness of second puberty/adrogynous stage. And I've finally decided on a name. I'm going with Adam. Hope everyone is doing well and has a fantastic end of summer!

Cool! I wish I had the courage to tell people I'm transgender, or to try to transition, but i don't think I could make it through the puberty/androgynous stage. My side burns are coming in "nicely" too. Emoticon: Confused :s

but don't listen to my gloominess, good for you! I like the name Adam. Emoticon: Smile :)

Thanks! Try not to be too gloomy. Have you ever heard of Loren Cameron? Look him up if you haven't. In short, he's an FTM photographer who does trans portraits. His partner Kayt also considers herself to be transmasculine, but she never transitioned and never intends to do so, and has found peace in that decision. Also, my ex has a family member he found out was trans and just never transitioned, also at peace with that decision. It's not something you ever actually have to do. The adrogynous/puberty stage was pretty tough. I'm only realizing now the extent to which I hated myself for a while. But that was also compounded by a lot of other stresses, and it wasn't completely unbearable. A reasonable price to pay.

I'm really happy for you Emoticon: Smile :) I've been thinking about whether I want to semi-transition or not at all. So far I'm leaning towards yes, but I still have a few years to decide. I think it's cool you chose the name Adam. That's my brother's name Emoticon: Smile :)
This life chose me, I'm not lost in sin.

Take as long as you need to decide, but if it's right for you, definitely go for it. It was the best decision I ever made and I'm so much happier now.
