^Read that. The one for my area is the one called Teen View.


About 2 months ago, I met three members of Teen View along with the 2 advisors at a community GSA discussion. They seemed pretty chill, but I just didn't know what Teen View was...at all, so I thought nothing of it.

At gay camp, the same 5 people were there. I got to know them all a bit better, and Teen View is, well, read that link and you'll learn what it is.

So, today there was another community GSA meeting, and the 2 advisors (by the way, their names are Darren and Audrie) and one of the kids from Teen View were there. The meeting was chill, and I met a lot of new, awesome people, and stuff.

After the meeting was over, Darren (who I did get to know quite a bit at gay camp) walks up to me and goes, "So Nick, when are you joining Teen View?" I was like "lulwut?" And he talked a little bit, and I thought it sounded awesome, so he gave me his business card and told me to email him. So, I emailed him:

YES! Audrie and I have been really impressed with you. Tomorrow is pretty hectic and I am at Unirondack over the weekend but early next week Audrie and I will send you some more info and talk about the process of becoming a member.
Thank you for all the work you are doing to make our communities safer for LGBTQ people. I hope we have the chance to work more together.

I thought it was really funny when he said they were impressed with me. I don't think I was even really all that talkative at gay camp in the discussions, and I didn't really say much at the meeting tonight either, but apparently I'm just that awesome?

I'm really excited though. Teen View does sound awesome, and I really like the three kids I know that are in it. It seems like a pretty exclusive group, too, so I feel pretty honored that I didn't have to apply or anything, they ASKED me to join

(on a side note, Alternative prom is tomorrow night, and I'm fucking stoked xD)
