Dear Mom, I wish you could get past the fact that I will never like dudes. That I will never be the daughter you wanted. I wish you could be proud of the things that I've accomplished instead of focusing on my flaws. I wish you could have been there for me when I was hurting instead of hurting me some more. I wish that you would not hate my girlfriend just because she has lady parts. Very nice lady parts...anyway, I wish we could talk like we used to. Now I feel like I have to walk on eggshells when we talk about my sexuality, my girlfriend, basically my life in general.

I wish you would love me like you used to.
