![]() I'm getting there :)
Lovely new blog image, yes? I made it myself :3
Anyways... I've been wanting to blog for a while now, but I've had no motivation whatsoever. None. I don't even now, really, but I'm really bores because my laptop isn't working. On Friday, I participated in the day of silence. I had honestly completely forgotten about it until my principal mentioned it to me on Thursday afternoon...but, that's besides the point. Friday, I participated. I had printed out a bunch of the tag things from the DOS website and handed them out to anyone that wanted one. Most of them weren't successful with it, but, eh. 5th period rolled around: Family Life Management. The class I had that stupid fake baby for. I went in, and my teacher remembered I was silent (I have her for health earlier in the day, too). She explained what the day of silence was to the class of 12 or so. I then wrote on the board (y'know, since I couldn't say it) "I'm doing it because I'm transgender." Everyone then proceeded to look at each other awkwardly. My teacher asked me to explain it then, but as I had never gone a whole DOS without talking, I didn't want to (about 10 minutes later, I got salsa on my boob [we were having a party in class :3] and I yelled "Fuck!" I wasn't happy >_>). She said that I could just discuss it with them on Monday. ( I'd like to ppint out that this is the same health teacher from the time I wrote that speech and I spoke to the all-girls club that I'm in, so she already knew.) Today I went in and sat down quietly. I wasn't really feeling up to discussing my gender with people, but I put my strong face on when my teacher asked me if I wanted to. We waited for everyone to arrive (a lot of the class doesn't have a lunch so they eat that period, and so they're allowed to be late if they're getting their lunch). When they did, my teacher talked for a moment to sort of introduce the topic (I'm happy she did...I had no fucking clue how to start xD). I then talked for probably about 20 minutes, answering questions and stuff. I told them my preferred name, Nick, and the one girl said, "I'll remember to call you Nick. You remember my sister Shae, right?" (I had a huge crush in Shae before she graduated xD) I nodded. "Well, she just broke up with her girlfriend, and now she's dating a transguy that's also named Nick!" I laughed. I really did have a huge crush on Shae back in the day (when I was a freshman), and now she's dating a guy named Nick? Why couldn't I be that guy named Nick D: Over all, it went really well. The class was very accepting, and I was really happy about that. I'm also happy because my teacher said she'd start calling me Nick in that class. I've never been called Nick by people consistently, like, I'll get called Nick when my friends remember...but that's rare, so, :3 But, yeah. Yay! Also, funny story. I was walking down the hall earlier and my one friend looked upset, so I gave her a hug, and go "Aw, tell Papa Nick what's wrong..." She just laughed, and then I said, "It's like Papa John's but without the pizza!" she laughed harder, and I then continued on my way to where I was going. :3 Well, that's all for now, I guess... Stay awesome <3 Nick views: 304 responses: 8 posted by Twillz on Tuesday 24 April 2012 at 1:35AM BlogResponse
