As for the first few weeks, I wouldn't expect many, if any, physical changes. However, you should expect, and prepare for, your mood and energy level to change. It happens rapidly. It will probably take time to adjust to your emotions as A) you will be going through a second, different kind of puberty and B) as the testosterone introduces itself to your body, your female organs will do that whole shut down thing soo... you will go through a sort of menopause. PREPARE FOR SHIT TO GET HOT. (And no, I don't mean you. )
Also, it won't change you as a person but while you adjust to your emotions, you'll probably be a super asshole. I sure as hell was. It sucks for your family and shit. I'm sure you'll get over it fast, though- or at least at your T levels out. Let your girlfriend know until you are at a standard dose, you may go through changes mentally. Or some shit like that, as a sort of warning. (Not huge, but just moodswings. Don't be scared! Lol.)
Other than that, will you keep your name since it is kind of unisex? Or will you pick a different one?

I was totally restless last night night though. I had to force myself to sleep and couldn't sleep past 7 am, even though I always do no matter when I go to bed.
As for my name, yeah I'm gonna keep it. Why change my name if I don't have to? Plus, it's easy for my gf's family because they can pronounce it in Spanish. I just have to fix the middle name, "lyn." So I'm gonna take my Dad's, "Curtis." It's pretty damn expensive to change your name in California though. Filing fees plus running it in the newspaper for weeks adds up to hundreds of dollars.
