Blog Entry: LGBT Peers

LGBT Peers So, I'm in a conversation with a few people yesterday (one of whom is bisexual, I shall call him J - me and him are the only out people in our year). One of the straight guys brings up virginity, and asks me if I've done anything with anyone. I say "Well, there's not really anyone to do anything with", and J says "Yeah, there's, like, no-one in our year. I know of 5 guys who aren't 100% straight in our year at school, including me and Sean."

Wait, hold up. Five?

I say "I only knew 2 (us) and heard a rumour of a third...". He got me to type the name of the third person on his phone, and I showed it to him, and he said "Oh yeah, I heard that rumour, guess I know of 6 then."

Intrigued, I ask him who, before realising I'd have hated it if someone outed me, even to another LGBT. "Well, I'm not gonna say, but one of them came to me actually wanting a relationship of sorts, the other two just wanted to get in my pants. The guy that wanted a relationship is my best friend, so that'd be weird." I then start to rack my brains trying to think who he hangs out with. He then typed it on his phone and showed me, and I felt bad for asking, but that's besides the point.

So, three other guys in my year are supposedly LGBT, yet don't trust me enough to confide in me. Faaaantastic... Granted, I wouldn't just put out for the people that only wanted sex, but still... it'd be nice to know >.>
